Arina’s Captain

When he was a little boy, Markus wanted to become a pilot. Although he has not (yet) turned his dream of flying into reality, he has found his personal freedom as CEO of Arina AG. As co-owner, he is not only his own boss, but together with Roman, he also leads the “A-Team”, which consists of more than 15 people. Even though things can sometimes get hectic at the Arina office, Markus always keeps a cool head and manages to find a solution to any given problem. It is with calm and serenity that he usually starts into a new working day: After picking up the mail and doing some shopping for the office, a coffee and a little chat with his friends from the village are a must. Zurich-born Markus is deeply rooted in the community of Scuol, his adopted home in the Engadin mountains, where he raised his two children.

Markus not only travels often on business, but also likes to discover new lands off duty. From Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, there are still many countries to be checked on his list. At work, too, he is most fascinated by the different people and cultural nuances he comes into contact with. Our customers and partners are from all over the world, which according to Markus, compares to a big, colourful puzzle.
